About Us
What is Foofy?
Foofy is a sustainable, chemical-free and ethically made brand. We are a brand that truly cares - cares for the Planet and cares for all people on it. We are not just another just customer-orientated clothing company, we are Earth-orientated. Foofy was created to bring safe, conscious and eco-friendly products, at a fair price to everyone.
What is Organic Cotton?
Organic Cotton uses 87% less water than conventionally grown cotton and emits 45% less greenhouse gases. Conventional cotton is also known for using more chemicals than any other crop in the world. The use of these chemicals has led to the hospitalization of up to 1 million farmworkers every year. That’s some dirty talk we absolutely cannot get behind. By using Organic Cotton, we keep the people we work with and the products we sell safe. Better for your body and better for the earth.
Why does we use recycled materials?
Recycled materials prevents additional textile waste and requires far fewer resources to manufacturer with than even natural fibres. Globally, an estimated 92 million tonnes of textile waste goes to landfill each year and by using recycled materials, we help to reduce this. Recycled materials also use far less resources, for instance every tonne of recycled cotton saves 765,000 litres of water and produces far less carbon than conventional materials.
What are environmentally friendly dyes?
We use environmentally friendly dyes as they do not use toxic chemicals. They also have a higher absorption rate, which means they require less water. Typical clothing manufacturing uses over 8,000 synthetic chemicals. Many of these chemicals are known to be carcinogenic and hazardous to our health. We believe that what you put on your skin matters.
Where is your product made?
Our factories are based around Europe, as we wanted to keep our manufacturers close to home and reduce our environmental footprint as much as possible.
Are your factories fair trade certified and ethical?
Our factories are not certified but meet fair trade criteria. European labor laws are always enforced. Ethical manufacturing is a top priority for us. We don’t just care about our customers, we care about everyone.
What materials do you use to ship your orders?
Online orders are packed in recycled and recyclable garment bags made in Europe. Your garment will arrive in our boxes that are also made from recycled card and are recyclable (we’re a big fan of recycling). We do not ship any branded materials other than the paper order confirmation slip in order to reduce our single-use waste. All returns and exchanges are processed online.
What kind of thread do you use?
Not many people think of this but polyester thread is very common as it is cheap and durable. We make sure to use cotton thread for sewing.
Is your product vegan?
Yes, no animals were harmed here! We use natural, plant-based fabrics.
Why do you donate 5% of sales to The Water Project?
Although it isn’t the most obvious charity to donate to, it makes the most sense. The fashion industry is a major polluter of water, in more ways than one. From the chemicals used in the agriculture, to the toxins in the dying process and even the microplastics in man-made fibres, all these polluters enter our water supply. It was estimated in 2015, 79 billion cubic metres of water was used in the fashion industry – 80-90% of which is believed to return back to the environment untreated.
At Foofy, we saw an opportunity to do more. Not only does Organic Cotton use 87% less water than conventional cotton but we wanted to ensure that the water returned the environment is clean and safe.
We proudly support The Water Project, donating 5% of sales to their organisation where they will provide clean water to students in Southeast Kenya, a region significantly impacted by climate change.
What happens to the donation if I return something?
If an item is returned, the transaction gets recorded as cancelled and the donation will be excluded from the aggregate amount that is donated to the nonprofit at the end of the month.
How does your sizing run?
Nothing is more sustainable than limited production, season-less styles and gender-less fits. That’s why all our loungewear (sweatshirts, hoodies, sweatpants and shorts) are made equally for both men and women.
We are aware though that male and female body shapes aren’t that equal, so we recommend men purchase their loungewear true-to- size whereas women should size-down.
Most of our product has a relaxed fit, because who doesn’t love comfort? If you need additional help, please email us at care@foofy.co.uk
Explain your price point?
At Foofy, we believe that values, sustainability an a fair price point can co-exist. From day 1, our intentions has always been to offer sustainable, eco-friendly clothing as a price that is fair and accessible to everyone. We continue to strive to offer the most affordable price point possible, without compromising our values. When you purchase from Foofy, you are supporting a healthier and cleaner eco-system. Thank you!
How do I care for my garment?
All garments should be washed at a 30 degrees wash, with the same colours. No garment should be tumbled dry (otherwise it may shrink).
What sizes do you offer?
We currently offer sizes XS - XL
Will you be offering more inclusive sizing in the future?
We will be offering a larger range of sizes in the future, for now we wanted to ensure we didn’t overproduce our garment range. As quite frankly, over production does not go with sustainability.

Why do colors sometimes appear differently across fabric types?
Our fabrics have varying characteristics, like base color, content, weight & the way it's knit, so each absorbs dye in their own special way. To ensure no color discrepancy in your set, we recommend that you opt for purchasing a set in the same fabric. If you're ever unsure, email us at care@foofy.co.uk and our team would be happy to answer any questions.
How often do you restock products?
We do our best to work with our factories to restock products as quickly as possible. We aim to keep our classic colors in-stock all year round and new colors that we introduce each season are not guaranteed to be restocked. As a sustainable brand with a small team, we focus on quality over quantity — maintaining our ethical supply chain & clean material standards is our number one priority and we will never jeopardise these values to mass produce clothing fast. That’s something we are very proud of!
